Tucan Rock Electric Picnic Well as some of you may know we got the chance to play Electric Picnic this year.... It was quite random actually that we managed to get playing at it and we were only finalised a week or two before the event!! This was quite lucky as neither of us had tickets to go to the Festival. We were originally booked to play on The POD Acoustic Stage in the Body and Soul Area at 5:00 on the Saturday afternoon. This gig went so well that the organisers asked us back to play the closing gig of the Body and Soul and Area (and the whole festival I think) on the chill stage at 3:00 in the mornin Sunday night/Monday morning..... We arrived at the stage absolutley fucked after a whole weekend of partying. We went on after a brilliant DJ who really had the crowd hopping around...this was a wee bit intimidating as our style of music is quite different. But as soon as we started playing the crowd got really into it and the whole show took off.... Alot of numbers have been thrown around but I reckon that there were over 3000 people there, which is the biggest crowd we've played to. It was a crazy way to finish a mental weekend...... Hopefully we will be back next year. |
